Meet Our Staff
The teacher and classroom aid here at Gresham United Methodist Preschool are highly-experienced, well-trained, and focus on positive reinforcement and encouragement.
Mrs. Salitore
Mrs. Salitore is the Lead Teacher of the 3 and 4 year programs.
She graduated from Portland State University in Art, and Concordia University in Portland with a Masters in Teaching in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. Mrs. Salitore has experience teaching Pre-K through 5th grade. Her child also attend the 4's preschool program.
Mrs. Lewis
Mrs. Lewis is our Classroom Aide. Prior to working at this preschool, she was a substitute educational assistant for the Reynolds School District. Mrs. Lewis' two children attend the preschool programs.
The Benefits of Having Two Familiar Adults
Having two familiar adults in the program helps the children transition to school and reinforces the continuity of their experience. It also allows the child-to-adult ratio to remain lower and gives the teacher and classroom aid more opportunity for one-on-one interactions with each child. In addition, it allows us to address social and academic readiness more easily.
